Bruce Andrew

With 25+ years Hydraulic and Mechanical experience Bruce offers specialist design, component procurement and problem solving to our varied customer base. Supporting our mobile team, enjoying challenging projects and being very hands on, Bruce is happy to hand the management to Chris and the capable admin team, so he can focus on customer satisfaction and quality outcomes. Keen on all adrenalin and adventure sports, Bruce stays active, fit and engaged in outdoor pursuits as much as possible. Keen to give life a good go, Bruce has a tenacious approach to all things he encounters.

Tracey Andrew

Having been part of the Hydraulink Tauranga Team since inception, Tracey is now focusing on the Financial Admin of the company. Confident a very capable teams looks after the Customer Services and Admin, and the staff HR, she is now able to spend more time with family and joining Bruce in their mutual enjoyment of the outdoors and travel. Attention to detail and the desire to make this business the very best it can be has kept Tracey motivated and enjoying the journey over the years.

Chris Weber

Operations Manager
Chris started with Hydraulink Tauranga in February 2017 as Workshop Manager, Chris has really taken control of the workshop and made it his own, improving systems and focusing on quality control to give the customer exactly what they are after. With 17+ years’ experience in Hydraulics, Mechanical and Electrics Chris offers good knowledge of the industry to support the team and customer enquiries. When not at work Chris’ enjoys hanging out with his young family and playing social hockey.

Steve Bennett

Workshop Foreman
Steve joined the Hydraulink team in April 2019 as our friendly Workshop Foreman. Sometimes referred to as ‘Steve the Pom’ Steve moved from the UK to NZ in 1972. You will often hear him laughing before you see him! He has worked in the automotive trade since 1975, 12 ½ of those years as a tutor. He has 7 years’ experience working with heavy machinery. As workshop foreman, Steve allocates the workload, manages day to day operations of the workshop, engages in operational tasks and assists customers. When not at work Steve enjoys anything to do with Hot Rods and custom cars.

Kyle Forster

Hydraulic Service Technician
Kyle joined our team in January 2020 as a Hydraulic Service Technician, having previously run a local car garage. He has 10 years’ experience in the mechanical industry, both light vehicles and heavy earth moving equipment. When not at work Kyle enjoys hunting and spending time with his young children.

Nigel Rose

Senior Mobile Hydraulic Service Technician
Nigel has been making hoses and hydraulic problem solving for his customers since 1995. Having worked as an independent contractor for the majority of his time in business, Nigel is now enjoying the challenge and reward of having a Sub-contractor to support his growing customer base. Family is important to Nigel and he spends as much time as he can fishing, skiing, mountain biking, caravanning and supporting his girls various sporting pursuits.

Callum Gaby

Mobile Hydraulic Service Technician
Callum started as a mobile hydraulic Technician with Nigel in 2017. Keen to always be busy, Callum enjoys the pressure of breakdown work and likes it best when there’s lots on! When not working, Callum spends his time fishing and diving.

John Whale

Senior Mobile Hydraulic Service Technician
John started with Hydraulink Tauranga in 2002. Initially having 1 service vehicle and no staff, John has grown his customer base and mobile business to 3 service vehicles and 2 sub-contractors. Johns commitment to his customers ensures you are back up and running quickly minimising unnecessary down time.

Matthew Sutton

Mobile Hydraulic Service Technician
Matt works for John in one of Johns 3 Mobile Service Vehicles. He trained and served in the army from 2007 to 2011, as a mechanical engineer, going on to work for Heavy Industry as a service technician and fabricator. Matt has been part of the team since 2015 and enjoys being on the road servicing a varied customer base. When not solving hydraulic problems Matt competes in various motorsport disciplines, and enjoys building race cars.

Nathan Calcinai

Mobile Hydraulic Service Technician
Nathan has been a Mobile Hydraulic Technician for John since 2017. Previously working for a structural steel company, Nathan has a first-hand understanding of the needs of the industries he services. He grew up in the Bay and enjoys the outdoors, camping, travelling and dirt bike riding.

Paolo Rigamonti

Engineer – Metal Spray Technologies
Paolo has been working as a metal machinist, solving engineering problems, since 1996. His vast experience and valuable skill set has allowed him the opportunity to relocate from Italy, with his family, and he joined us as Lead Machinist for the Metal Spray Technologies division of our business in 2017. Paolo derives much satisfaction from solving the problems and fulfilling the requests of our customers accurately, precisely and timely. Family is very important to Paolo and he is loving exploring Aotearoa with his wife and three children.

Danny McNaughton

Trade Assistant - Metal Spray Technologies
Danny joined the Metal Spray team in November 2018. Danny assists the Engineers, conducts repairs and maintenance as required and maintains the workshop and associated equipment.

Tegan Samson

Customer Services & Stock Manager
Tegan undertook the role of Customer Services and Stock Manager in 2018. She is the cheery face you will meet at our customer service counter, she looks after ordering and component procurement and has the unenviable job of controlling our massive stock holdings, whilst supporting 5 Mobile Operators and a team of workshop engineers. Tegan likes to get amongst the outdoors and all that is has to offer.

Kelly Bonner

Office Administration - Part time
Originally from the UK, Kelly joined the Hydraulink team in February 2020. She was previously a Part time Office Manager bringing a broad range of experience including accounts payable/receivable, debt collection, Payroll, Health & Safety, and general project management. Kelly works alongside Tracey and Tegan and together they ensure an efficient, smooth-running and cheery office environment! When not at work Kelly enjoys spending time with her children and getting outdoors as much as possible.

Taylah Barnett

Office Administration – Casual
Taylah joined the Hydraulink team in March 2020 as our Casual Office Administration superstar. Taylah supports Tegan, managing stock, assisting with stock ordering, and the stock control for our Mobile HSST operators. She will be one of the cheery Team that greet you when you call into the Branch or phone up with queries. Outside of her study and work, Taylah is a keen photographer and a member of the KJ Studios Dance Family – teaching, performing, and choreographing Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tap, and Modern Dance.
